Vision 2026 hands over 6 shops & 2 houses to the victim families of Delhi Violence

Delhi (14/08/2020): The Delhi riots had left thousands of families devastated, with their houses and businesses completely destroyed.  Vision 2026 is working to rehabilitate these riot victims.

In this context, six shops and two houses were inaugurated by a delegation on 13 July 2020.  The delegation was led by Mohammad Ahmed, Secretary Social Service Wing JIH along with Dr. Mohammed Arif, Zahid Hussain, Mohammed Saqib and Imran Ansari from the Vision 2026 team.

A grocery store has been given by Vision 2026 to Imtiaz in Chandu Nagar.  Along with this, Hussain Mohammed and Ikramuddin, whose house was destroyed in the riots in Shiv Vihar area, were rebuilt and handed over to them.  In this area, Salim and Akhtar have been helped by opening a shop for their family's daily bread.

The riots had destroyed the business of Hanif and Salim's family, both of whom were also given battery rickshaw and Thela (Cart) by Vision so that they could nurture their families properly.

Khurshid, who lost his eyes in the tragedy of the riots, has been helped by Vision 2026 for opening a ration shop in the Mustafabad area so that he can arrange two times of his family's daily bread.  Similarly, Altaf, a resident of Noor-e-Ilahi, who was shot in the leg during the riots, has also supported to open a belt purse shop.

Shahnawaz, who ran a shop in the Bhajanpura area, was robbed by rioters during the riots. Vision has also helped Shahnawaz start a clothing shop again, extending a helping hand.

Vision 2026 has been working since the first day to rehabilitate the families of the riot victims, whether it is to rebuild the devastated houses of the victims or to restart their ruined businesses.
