HWF in Healthcare

Health is a major developmental concern. Health problems and poverty possess a cyclic relation wherein each feeds the other. With the rising commercialization of health sector, health facilities are becoming out of reach for poor.The HWF aims to assist the poor and needy by providing them state-of-art health facilities on subsidized/ marginal costs.

Al-Shifa Multi Specialty Hospital

The Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital is being run by the Human Welfare Trust, New Delhi as a part of Vision 2016 program, which aims at transformation of the social landscape of the country and making a society having peace, prosperity and justice for all.

The hospital started its services with 40 beds, now Al Shifa is serving with 83 beds. It is equipped with state-of-the-art operation theatres, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) along with modern and air-conditioned labour room.

The Hospital aims at providing affordable, dignified healthcare through innovation and commitment, accessible to the poorest of the poor man.

Medical Centres and Clinics

The Human Welfare Trust is running 4 diagnostic centre and 5 Medical Centre. Approximately one million beneficiaries avail services of these hospital and clinics spread over length and breadth of India.

Medical Camps

Free Medical Camps is an important activity in the field of Healthcare. The purpose of holding free medical camps is to provide primary healthcare services to the neglected and hard to reach communities at their doorstep. Since 2009, the HWF has been organized 523 free medical camps and has been able to provide the clinical services and free medication to patients suffering from skin diseases, acute respiratory infections and diarrheal diseases resulting from poor access to healthcare, unhealthy life style, lack of awareness on health and hygiene and non-availability of proper water and sanitation.

Medical Aid

Apart from above mentioned services, HWF helps poor and needy patients by providing them medicine and cash for their medical needs. Every year more than 10 million rupees are spent on this account.

Mobile Medical Units & Ambulance Services

HWF offering mobile OPD and ambulance services in some areas through its Mobile Medical Units & Ambulances. More than 10,000 patients availed these services last year. Recently two new mobile medical units are started and working in Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Blood Donors’ Group and Drug Banks are established in almost every state and are providing services to the masses without any discrimination

Medical Service Society

"Medical Service Society" is a part of its Vision 2016 Program which aims at a multi-faceted development of the downtrodden sections of society. The Society is working in the field of Healthcare in a professional manner since its inception. It is a network of likeminded Physicians from various parts of the country who discuss the healthcare situation and facilities in the country and also deliberate upon various immediate and long-term measures to improve the prevailing condition.
