Sh. Padmakar Ram Tripathi, ADM, South East Delhi, visited the Community Learning Centre under Human Welfare Foundation.

The philosophy of Community Learning Centres is founded on 3 of UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are Goal 1- No Poverty, Goal 2 - Zero Hunger and Goal 4- Quality Education. CLCs will help reduce poverty in two ways; (1) by educating the target student and so equipping them with employability skills and (2) administering programs that provide healthy and nutrient food to children including breakfast and lunch.
Community Learning Centre at Kanchankunj, Madanpur Khadar Ext. 2, New Delhi was established in February 2018. Kanchan Kunj is a very backward slum-like locality in the Capital City of the nation. Most of the inhabitants are Muslims who migrated from Assam, Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal in search of livelihood. The majority of these people are daily laborers who at times go without work – ultimately leading to non-income days. As a result, kids of these migrants are forced to work at a tender age where they are supposed to attend school and spend their time playing and enjoying their life.
